• Style: lightly oxidized Oolong
• Cultivar: zairai - tea bushes grown from seeds
• Flavor profile: floral notes
It took me more than a year to finally obtain tea from zairai tea bushes that would meet my demands.
This experimental tea, teetering on the edge between kamairicha and light oolong, is undoubtedly a specialty in our offering. The resulting flavor is pleasant and unusually close to Taiwanese Baozhong. Produced in small quantities by Mr. Takeshi Suzuki in the village of Isagawa.
Isagawa is a place where pesticides were never used, and it hosts the largest cluster of tea plantations in Japan that reject agricultural chemicals.
