Himalayan Shilla is a dark partially oxidized tea from tea bushes grown from seeds. It is hand-picked and processed using the method developed at Jun Chiabari based on their experience and inspiration from Taiwan and China. The name of this tea was given by the majestic "mountain of death" Shilla with its height of 6132 m.

Precisely managed procedures, along with pure nature and Himalayan air, are the secrets behind the flavor of this delicious tea.

Jun Chiyabari tea garden is located in the hills above the town of Hile in the Dhankuta district. Divided into five sections, ranging from 1700 to 2100 meters above sea level, it covers an area of 96 hectares. Jun Chiyabari is a thoroughly planned and designed organic garden project from the very beginning, from the purchase of land in specifically selected locations, through the planting of chosen cultivars, the design of the tea factory, to the employment of the best people from the tea industry.

The cornerstone of the Jun Chiyabari philosophy is respect for tea, people, and nature. Their goal is simply to produce the best possible teas while maintaining organic and nature-friendly procedures, heavily inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka.

Jun Chiyabari means "moonlit tea garden" in Nepali, and Jun (純) means "pure" in Japanese.
